The Outreach Committee, each year, reviews monetary support to selected organizations along with our sustaining ministries: Companions in World Mission, Downtown Cluster of Congregations, Howard University Campus Ministry, St. Paul's College, University of Maryland Campus Ministry, Samaritan Ministry and Transitional Housing.  Organizations that support programs for youth, the elderly, hunger, the sick and the  homeless are favored.  For further information contact the Church Office at 202-726-2080.

Parishioners and the Outreach Committee members are actively involved in sending care-packages to students pursuing higher education, distributing Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets and gift certificates to needy families as well as the winter blanket drive to support the homeless shelter. Parishioners have been working with Samaritan Ministries and Transitional Housing to furnish an apartment for a family by providing household items, furnishings and monetary contributions.St. Paul's, Rock Creek has partnered with Community Interfaith Hospitality Network (CIHN) and have house four families at the cottage so far.

ARTS OUTREACH AT ST. PAUL'S ROCK CREEK

Music Outreach to Schools…..

An important part of our Arts outreach at St Paul’s is to the numerous city schools, some of which no longer have music programs of their own. Our partnership with the Fessenden Ensemble has allowed us to arrange seven workshops for schools, taking place in the Great Hall of St Paul’s Center. Each workshop takes place on a Monday afternoon.

The dates are :

October 29^th (Woodwind Quintet)

November 19^th (String Quartet)

December 3^rd (Horn Quartet)
February 11^th (String Trio)

March 10^th (Brass Trio)
April 21^st (String Quartet)
May 12^th (Woodwind Quintet)

Among the participating schools are : Barnard Elementary; Rudolph Elementary; MacFarland Middle; Clark Elementary; West Elementary.
